So I think its about time to update the old diary here and tell you about the last few gigs.

It started off with Saturday and a wedding in Burg Schwarzenstein with a lovely couple Jutta and Berndt. I was playing with another lovely couple, Nick (keyboards/guitar) and Mathias (drums). Martin who should have been playing drums got fever at
the last minute and arranged for Mathias who mastered the job like he`d played with us for years. Burg Schwarzenstein is the most beautiful venue to play and well, lets face it we rocked. A good time was had by all with Nick playing solos which in Trio formation reminded me of the old days with Delicious Poison. I especially loved Mr Bojangles (played for the first time) and fly me to the Moon (did I detect the ghosts of Sammy and Frank over my shoulder shaking their heads?...well no but the new light show did add something and at last the "Toys R us" disco pyramid from my daughter has been well and truely relegated to the back of the cellar).

Got back at five in the morning and prepared for a solo gig in Bad Homburg Castle. Bit concerned as the Birthday couple Rainer and Klara had only seen me and Nick as a Duo but as it turned out everything was mental (Geordie for wunderbar). Very friendly people and although the voice was starting to crack after the first set -making me sound like a goose farting in the fog (thanks Billy) -we all had a great time and this time there were no ghosts only a couple of rather beautiful waitresses singing along to Robbie.

.

After a couple of hours sleep I got up to play Dance into May with long time musician mate Gerry. Feeling dog ruff and forgetting half my equipment we played 3 hours of wake up music in the cold May morning breeze.

So that was my weekend, what did you do? Write in me guestbook and tell all the sleazy details, and after I`ve read them I can always remove them.

Suffering from hayfever again. I know the doctors of this world have enough to do without worrying about tiny particles flying up my nose and nighty of an evening so I`ve invented a cure for hayfever in the hope that someone does something about it. How about two tiny nets thats allow one to breathe but hinder the pollen from travelling up yer nostrils. We could wear them a bit like glasses.

Just a thought.

Check here again for my cure for racism, world peace and how to open crisps without spilling them all over the place.

Rainer very kindly sent me this pic of me singing in the Weissen Saal des Bad Homburger Schlosses. Note the new purple lights that make me look like I´ve been eating ice cream before I went on.
