What is walking Act?. Well I`ve just spent an hour writing about it and then my bloody pc conked out and didnt save my changes, have a bit of patience, check back here soon and I`ll tell all promise.

I cant sleep so I`ll start again.

I´d heard the term "Walking act" a lot from musician mates but never really understood what it was. Was it a lot of mincing around the dinner tables giving the guests indigestion through bellowing Besame mucho in their ears? What is it then?.What is expected?. Okay I`ve done a bit of walking before Wedding gigs and though it always went down well I couldnt imagine a whole evening of it.

So when Frank rang up and said "Hey Englishman, you re booked to play with Felix Weigand (Double Base player with Dick Brave and the Backbeats) and Jochin (Sax) on Friday, Walking Act -be there!" *. I started to panic. What do I know offhand without lyric sheets? As it turns out, all the crap songs I hate. Learning new lyrics is very difficult with my old brain. But a half hour crash course in Jazz standards beforehand with Felix and Jochin and I was set up for a mental evening at a prominent Bank in Frankfurt.

But for a real taste of "Walking" I had to wait four weeks later with the legendary Sax player Jurgen Summerfeld.

With his smiling face, jokey introductions, virtuoso screaming sax solos and full profi attitude we got on like a house on fire and rocked the joint. I`ve never had so much fun with my clothes on!. Its a bit like a gypsy troup spreading joy to the masses. Gone is the barrier of mike stands and monitors, musician and audience. You are right in the midst of the punters mate. And they feel it. There is electricity in the air, its brutally honest and boy you better be good. Loved it and cant wait to do it again.

Enjoyed playing with Nick again at the Green Island, made special with the appearence of Sascha, Sven, Saskia, Julia and Svens Girlfriend. It was like old times with the boys screaming out rude kids songs and stripping whilst dancing on the seats. That was just the sound check. Also my old mate Martin Strieder was there, one of the most original guitarists around, so we had to impress him with a bit of Radiohead and send the "Kur"-guests off to bed.

Anyway heres a nice pic of yours truely in Steinfurth in the summer of 2006

Thanks to Dr Sven Kleiner

Does`nt time fly when you`re having fun?. Yes it`s 2007 already. Two thousand and bloody seven?. It`s almost a science fiction number, where I`m still waiting for someone to come up with fllying cars, Teleportals and all in one suits we were promised through years of watching Star Trek as a nipper.

Been pretty lazy on the web diary update lark. Mainly because of my dodgy computer which makes strange noises, works when it wants and vibrates more violently than our pre war washing maschine. Had some mental gigs already this year. Playing Solo,Rude kids, Supanova, Rock n Roll Gypsies, Honey Twins and Hollywood Connection. And that at my age `n all.

As if it isnt enough there`s a new Project with Oli and Frank to be called Beatzone. I`m also working with a good friend of mine, a right royal twat called Faris. We`ve been in studio doing a Techno version of Shout to be brought out this year. But dont hold yer breath.

Here`s what happens when a walking act gets their picture taken at the kiddies photo stand
